Radio funny man Adrian Cronauer is sent to Vietnam to bring a little comedy back into the lives of the soldiers. After setting up shop, Cronauer delights the G.I.s but shocks his superior officer, Sergeant Major Dickerson, with his irreverent take on the war. While Dickerson attempts to censor Cronauer's broadcasts, Cronauer pursues a relationship with a Vietnamese girl named Trinh, who shows him the horrors of war first-hand.

What I admire most about this film, is how it basically, takes the setting of one of the darkest times in recent American history and basically makes a comedy out of it. It is a very bold move, that I think pays off. Seeing relief and happiness in such a place is very heartwarming, and it is all done by one of the funniest people ever.

Of course anything with the infamous Robin Williams is a masterpiece. For me, his role in this movie goes unnoticed a lot of the time. I really appreciate how the film presentations what the Vietnam War was like for the American Soldiers at that time. Williams truly makes this film lovable.

This is one of Robin Williams' best roles during his career. I think it was a really interesting concept that the film explores, and is probably the best film about the Vietnam War that gives a pretty accurate representation of what it was actually like over there for the American soldiers.

This is just Robin Williams at his finest. His mixture of comedy and heart is only something that can be done by him. I swear, you will never find a film that will touch you more, while also making you laugh hysterically. This is definitely one of the top ten war films of all time, hands down.

"Good Morning Veitnam!"; I have heard this quote so many times in my lifetime almost forgotten I haven't seen the film. I know it's a classic Robin Williams drama/comedy. It is on the top of my list for sure.
