Former Marine Louanne Johnson lands a gig teaching in a pilot program for bright but underachieving teens at a notorious inner-city high school. After having a terrible first day, she decides she must throw decorum to the wind. When Johnson returns to the classroom, she does so armed with a no-nonsense attitude informed by her military training and a fearless determination to better the lives of her students -- no matter what the cost.

John N Smith's Dangerous Minds follows a former Marine Louanne Johnson, acted by Michelle Pfeiffer who becomes a teaching in a school for notoriously academically-underachieving teenagers. She is militant and decisive and this is very empowering for a woman to watch on screen. But of course, the best part of this movie is the featured song on the soundtrack, Gangsters Paradise by the infamous rapper Coolio.

One of those stories that without a particularly strong plot manages to come through in a big way, due to the acting, dialog, situations and direction.

This movie is just purely a bunch or stereotypes and cliches lumped into a crappy film. It just made me want to roll my eyes throughout it. There is nothing interesting or complex about this movie- the plotline is extremely predictable.
