"Sister Act" is truly up there in the musicals under the searing spotlight and hall of fame. The lovable actress Whoopi Goldberg portrays our main character, the lively and energetic singer Deloris Van Cartier. Her mobster love interest commits a crime and so she must relocate to keep herself away from the hands of danger. Danger is personified by this character Vince LaRocca, perfectly depicted by the actor Harvey Keitel. No one would have expected that his crime musical would find our lovable Deloris in the disguise of a nun. As the plot unfolds, the sisters become a vibrant and soulful gospel choir! The songs are marvelous to sing along to! A definite must see for any musical fan. The director of this amazing franchise, Emile Ardolino definitely paved way for a path to success with her major hit movie "Sister Act."

This is a great and overall entertaining movie. It is light, interesting, funny, and - well, just great. The plot is not extremely predictable, though you can tell what would happen after a while. All the characters were entertaining and Whoopi Goldberg delivers a great performance.

This is a really entertaining movie with lots of emotion. It's an old movie, but I enjoyed watching it even recently. The nuns come from a conservative lifestyle and community, which contrasts in funny ways with the progression of the movie. Even if the story line is predictable, it's an engaging and fun movie.
