스타크래프트 '테란의 황제'이자 레전드인 임요환 선수가 떡국을 끓였다. 2004년 임요환 선수를 중심으로 'SK텔레콤 T1'이 창단되었다. 이후 2019년에는 컴캐스트가 공동주주로 참여하여 현재의 T1이 되었다. 임요환 선수는 T1의 창단 멤버로서 팀의 초석을 다졌으며 실제로 임요환 선수는 페이커와 함께 'T1 레전드' 호칭을 갖고 있다. 그런 임요환 선수가 손수 끓여주신 떡국이라니! 영광스러운 일이 아닐 수 없다.

Lim Yo-hwan, the legendary "Emperor of Terran" from StarCraft, made Tteokguk. T1 is a joint venture between South Korea's SK Telecom and the U.S. company Comcast. "SK Telecom T1" was founded in 2004 with Lim Yo-Hwan at its core. Later, in 2019, Comcast joined as a co-owner. As a founding member, Lim Yo-Hwan laid the foundation for T1, and, along with Faker, holds the title of "T1 Legend". So it is truly an honor that Lim Yo-hwan personally prepared this tteokguk.

음식의 온기와 맛을 그대로 유지하며 최적의 타이밍에 요리를 내는 것이 가장 중요했다. 미리 만들어두면 맛이 덜하기 때문이다. 다행히도 선수단의 일정은 놀랍도록 규칙적이었다. 항상 정해진 시간에 엘리베이터 문이 열리고 각 팀이 들어왔다. 엘리베이터 문이 열리는 소리만 들어도 어느 팀인지 알 수 있을 정도였다.

Once filming was done, the real event remained-serving the meal at the perfect time to live up to its name of "special meal." Maintaining the warmth and flavor of the food and delivering it at its peak timing was most important. Preparing it in advance would diminish its taste. Fortunately, the players' schedule was surprisingly consistent. Every team arrived at the same set time when the elevator doors opened. You could tell which team it was just by hearing the elevator chime.

평소처럼 반찬이 부족하지 않은지 둘러보던 중 한 직원과 잠시 대화를 나누게 되었다. "여행을 가고 싶어요. 휴게소에서 먹던 소떡소떡도 먹고 싶고, 우동도 먹고 싶어요.", 그의 말에 '그런 날이 언제나 올까? 오더라도 먼 훗날일 거야...'라는 생각이 스쳤다. 생각과 달리 나도 모르게 "그럼, 다음 주에 휴게소 음식을 보내드릴게요!"라는 말을 내뱉어버렸다. 서로 눈만 멀뚱멀뚱 이건 무슨 소리?!
