This film is such a fun live action adaption of the the Scooby-Doo cartoon. The first one was a trip, and this one is no expectation. It's not good cinema, the plot is stupid and the effects are not good, but it keeps with the feel of the cartoon which is all that matters. If you grew up with the cartoon you will probably get some enjoyment out of this film. Though if you didn't you'll probably think this movie is garbage, cause it kind of is (but in the best way possible).

I used to really enjoy watching the cartoons of Scooby-Doo on TV, and this is a modern real-life adaptation of the cartoons. The characters are overacted, which I think is what's needed in this type of film. The gang go to an opening of a museum exhibition that has been created in their honour that contains the costumes of all of their most famously defeated villains. Suddenly, a pterodactyl swoops in and takes all of their costumes and claims that the gang will no longer be able to solve mysteries, as he will resurrect the old villains just as he resurrected a pterodactyl. The special effects are now very updated and I feel that another remake would really be much better.

Most fans of this movie are those who grew up watching the TV series and animated movies which is why it is hard to recommend others to watch it. Fans of the series will enjoy seeing a live action adaptation however those new to the series will be lost and not likely to enjoy the movie.
