John Brown is a bumbling but well-intentioned security guard who is badly injured in an explosion planned by an evil mastermind. He is taken to a laboratory, where Brenda, a leading robotics surgeon, replaces his damaged limbs with state-of-the-art gadgets and tools. Named "Inspector Gadget" by the press, John -- along with his niece, Penny, and her trusty dog, Brain -- uses his new powers to discover who was behind the explosion.

Actor Matthew Broderick portrays the comical an charming Inspector Gadget. As a child, this was one of my favourite movies even if the special effects were not the best and could only be humourous. Rewatching the movie as a child, I realised there are a lot of scenes of innuendos and violence so I definitely think this movie can be appreciated by all ages. If the famous "Flubber" and had a baby with "RoboCop," this would be the perfect formula to create the infamous Inspector himself.

I remember watching this movie as a kid and not being very impressed with the story. I later realized that was because there wasn't much of a story to speak of. It feels like the movie was just made to toss in a bunch of gadget ideas and special effects.

Inspector Gadget is a classic if you remember watching movies on VCR! It has a pretty unique plot line where someone is able to achieve gadgets on his body due to an accident in the past and it helps him do his job better!
