Joey is an American sitcom, a spin-off from Friends, which stars Matt LeBlanc reprising his role as Joey Tribbiani. It premiered on the NBC television network, on September 9, 2004, in the former time slot of its parent series, Thursday nights at 8:00 p.m. Midway through the second season, the show was placed on a hiatus by NBC but returned on March 7, 2006, in a new timeslot of Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. One episode, "Joey and the Snowball Fight", was shown on a Tuesday at 8:30 p.m, but was pulled by NBC when it was overshadowed in ratings by American Idol. NBC canceled the series due to poor ratings in May 2006 and did not broadcast the remaining episodes. No other cast members from Friends reprised their roles on Joey.

If Joey were to ask me "How you doin'?" after watching his spin-off series, I think I would run in the opposite direction. I was such a big fan of the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. franchise and Matt Le Blanc was the perfect Joey Tribbiani! In fact, I feel that a lot of fans of the TV show wanted to see more elements and plots for his character so of course, naturally, viewers were excited for the spin off series BUT it was so disappointing! I felt like the script writers were trying too hard to make Joey funny when he was just naturally funny due to his dumb wit and thinking with his stomach above anything else. This show could have had potential... But it just flopped.
