The way that Scorsese connects the dots in this film is impressive - telling the narrative in a revitive and engaging way, even when the story isn’t actually that complex in reality. It is about two inside men - one working for the police who is actual a part of the local irish mob, and the other who is an undercover police officer pretending to be a gangster working under Jack Nicholson. The acting in this film is amazing with great cameos from local Boston legends. One of Scorsese’s best!

Cold and suspenseful. Not Scorsese's best but still well-made. I particularly enjoyed it as a Bostonian

This is the perfect example of a modern crime/mafia movie done right. There are so many stars and different personalities at play in this movie that it makes it a great watch. The suspense and action will always have you on the edge of your seat as you wait to see what happens in each scene.

A very interesting concept for a crime thriller, and extremely well realized. Fantastic acting all across the board. Mark Wahlberg sticks as this very in your face cop, who just don't give a sh*t. Seeing the story fold out is beautiful, and it is very hard to predict where the story will go. Simply a must watch.
