ジェームズ（ルーク・トラッダウェイ）はロンドンでプロのミュージシャンを目指すが夢破れ、家族にも見放されて、今はホームレスとなっていた。人生に目的も目標もなく、薬物依存から抜け出すこともできず、まさにドン底の生活を送っていた彼のもとに、足にケガをした一匹の野良猫が迷い込んでくる。ジェームズはその猫をボブと名付け、有り金をはたいて助ける。それ以来、どこに行くにも一緒の二人は、次第に世間の注目を集めるようになる。彼らの前には次々と試練や困難が立ちはだかるが、ジェームズはボブのためにも、それらをひとつひとつ乗り越えていく。やがて、大きなチャンスが訪れる……。

I'd never known his story until I watched this movie. It was very well done and authentic. I was also surprised to see Bob plays himself in the movie.

An incredibly heartmoving story of James and a street cat named Bob. Portrays a real picture of the difficulties of living on the street and getting clean. It's also a soothing movie as he plays his guitar and sings often, showing us his character. You really feel with the character every step of the way, rooting for him and feeling sad at his difficulties. Very well made adaptation of the book. Even more incredible to learn it's based on a true story. Highly recommended, but bring some tissues.

ドラッグから抜け出すためには別の支えが必要であり、それに出会えた人しか抜け出せないのだろう。 自分の周りに現れたときに支えられるのだろうか考えさせられた。 あとボブ賢い。
