This movie is a great balance of darkness but also moments of lighthearted humor. Lots of escape scenes that will leave you rooting for the outlaws. A very classic Western movie, it fits into the mold of Westerns, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford show great on set chemistry which helps with them portraying the famous outlaw duo and makes the performance very realistic. This movie can be counted as one of the greatest western movies and should be on any western fan’s must-watch list!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is an entertaining Western that contains its fair share of typical '60s machismo and laconic writing, but it ultimately it doesn’t deliver in providing much of value other than a fine retelling of an interesting story. I loved the way it looked and the way these two iconic actors took over the film, but as it continued it sort of lost its energy despite the tale being a unique one.
