アンダレーシアの森に暮らすジゼルは怪物に襲われるが、エドワード王子に助けられ、2人は恋に落ち、結婚することに。翌日、ジゼルが城に向かっていると、老婆に化けた王子の継母ナリッサ女王が現れジゼルを魔法の井戸に連れていき、彼女を突き落とす。シマリスのピップが助けを求めるが、ジゼルは井戸の底に落ちていった。ジゼル（エイミー・アダムス）が気がつくと、そこはアニメの世界ではなく現実のニューヨークだった。ジゼルは城が描かれたビル広告を本物の城と勘違いしてよじ登る。そこに離婚弁護士で、自らも離婚経験者のロバート（パトリック・デンプシー）が娘モーガンとタクシーで通りかかり、落ちてきたジゼルを助け、彼女を自宅に泊まらせる。

Though t is more modern, it is still great. We get to see a princess in our generation seeing how fantasies as a princess would play out in our days. It is hilarious with a great love story of damsel in distress

This was a fun movie - a light and entertaining combination of a Disney fairy tale and the real world. The combination results in events as ridiculous as one might imagine, but the live action aspect made it a little bit easier to relate to the story line. This would be a good family movie night pick.
