住田佑一（染谷将太）、15歳。彼の願いは“普通”の大人になること。大きな夢を持たず、ただ誰にも迷惑をかけずに生きたいと考える住田は、実家の貸ボート屋に集う、震災で家を失くした大人たちと平凡な日常を送っていた。茶沢景子（二階堂ふみ）、15歳。夢は、愛する人と守り守られ生きること。他のクラスメートとは違い、大人びた雰囲気を持つ住田に恋い焦がれる彼女は、彼に猛アタックをかける。疎ましがられながらも住田との距離を縮めていけることに日々喜びを感じる茶沢。しかし、そんな2人の日常は、ある日を境に思いもよらない方向に転がり始めていく。借金を作り、蒸発していた住田の父（光石研）が戻ってきたのだ。金の無心をしながら、住田を激しく殴りつける父親。さらに、母親（渡辺真起子）もほどなく中年男と駆け落ち。住田は中学3年生にして天涯孤独の身となる。そんな住田を必死で励ます茶沢。そして、彼女の気持ちが徐々に住田の心を解きほぐしつつあるとき、“事件”は起こった……。

A extremely weird way to start a movie. This movie will keep you on your seat cringing and on edge. You know how it might end and yet you are still sitting and watching the slow moving train wreck. we can only wait foe it to happen and there is nothing that you can do to stop it. This movie makes you think on how in a blink of an eye our life's can change for the better or worst. The scars that you will carry and how your life can change forever. It strongly focuses on the neglect of mental health and how it can destroy your life and no one is exempt rich, poor, young and old. This is one of those movies that will defy time. A beautiful cinematic piece of art.
