ニューヨーク。夫と離婚したメグ（ジョディ・フォスター）は、11歳の娘サラ（クリステン・スチュワート）を連れ、ある富豪が遺した豪邸に入居。その夜、遺族の一人であるジュニア（ジャレッド・レト）、正体不明のラウール（ドワイト・ヨーカム）、屋敷に設置された緊急避難用の鋼鉄製の密室パニック・ルームの設計者バーナム（フォレスト・ウィテカー）という3人の男が邸内に侵入してきた。パニック・ルームに隠されたと目される遺産を盗みにきたのだ。メグとサラはパニック・ルームに逃げ込むが、男たちは邸内を破壊しはじめ、パニック・ルームへと魔の手を伸ばしてくる。

The "Panic Room" is one of those movies that thrives upon its simplicity. The characters are not abstract nor are they complex, they simply just moved into their new home to be attacked by burglars, with actors such as Jared Leto, who play a game of life and death. In a sense, the thriller is absolutely terrifying as it touches upon real life circumstances. Of course, the entire movie is just tense suspense but it somehow creates a brilliant watch for director David Fincher. Grab your popcorn and get your own panic room!

A film focused on a panic room just screams thriller; and as a fan of a thriller then I am on board for this one. Though it may not have the best critic ratings, I am open to a fun thrilling film.

The film is a solid home invasion movie with an added twist of being focused on a panic room. The star studded cast does a great job at building the suspense and making you very alert as you watch to see what happens in each scene.
