This is classic Disney. The animation is simple but so elegant. This story has touched the hearts of so many and left its mark on pop culture. Now this story should not be completely inspiring. It kind of implies women need a man to get them out of hard situations and need a man to be happy, which is not true. But it does teach the lesson that we should all be nice to other, no matter who they are. Which is pretty nice.

I feel like I am going to get so much hate for this unpopular opinion but I don't really like Cinderella as a Disney Princess... In fact, if we put her story line with ugly stepsisters and an evil godmother to the side and completely forget about her fairytale carriage and love (due to the thanks of her Fairy Godmother), Cinderella herself is quite a boring and subdued characters. Truth be told, the only good thing about the Cinderella franchise is the adorable mice; you gotta love GusGus!

Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney princesses and through this movie you can see how her stepmother and sisters weren’t the best and she had to work for everything. Her godmother becomes her savior throughout this movie and she’s able to be free from her usual everyday life!

Cinderella was a hardworking girl whom was oppressed like many women are but it takes something to fight for to get us out of the dirt and that was love and curiosity for her. Her fairy godmother showed her another way of living outside of what she knew and this granted her an opportunity she never thought possible for herself. The mouses are so cute

Cinderella is a classic story that has been told in many forms across numerous cultures. This rendition from Disney is a childhood staple (at least it was when I was a kid) so I want to recommend seeing it once if you are interested in Disney classics. As times change and we think more about gender roles and media, I’m not sure I’d introduce the movie to kids too early on because of its emphasis on love at first sight (i.e. based on looks), but I still think it’s a good movie to know about.
