A classic fantastical beginning to a series full of adventure an fun, Lord of the Rings is a timeless trilogy and this movie starts off the adventure with a bang! I’m in we see Frodo Baggins, a hobbit with a taste for adventure, leave his home to embark on a journey to save his world, and the excitement of this film certainly lives up to the title. The action scenes are well played out and capture on the element of surprise and suspense that will have you gripping the edge of your seat. Both Frodo and Sam and intensely emotional characters that garner sympathy and understanding, San would do anything to save his friend and Frodo makes many selfless sacrifices on the journey. I also really loved Gollum’s character, he’s so funny and his internal struggle for the ring and new found friendship are great for comedy and aww factor. As the movie progresses, the audience is able to feel why the ring is able to have such a strong hold on whoever bears it, but the struggle to rid the world of evil and protect the ones you love prevails. Though there are two more movies in this series, I believe this movie is easily the most rewatchable, as we see the epic heroes journey begin. An amazing fantasy that you can’t get enough of.

어릴 때 본 영화. 20년 전 영화지만 지금 나오는 영화보다 재미있는 듯. 이게 사람들이 말하는 “라떼는... 꼰대인건가?”
