I feel editing was really important in this film to connect everything to build Fern’s life. Every shot is like pieces that connects to become her life story. We get to know her through pieces. The whole film is a pretty smooth line that run through her life, then comfortably ends. (It’s unlike usual films I saw where the storytelling focuses on a certain period of time, short or long, this feels like pieces) (Also kind of what I would want my film to be like)
