クリスマス・イヴのロンドン。スクルージ（ジム・キャリー）のビジネス・パートナーのマーレイが死ぬ。スクルージは悲しむ様子も見せずに指定遺言執行者のサインをして、遺体の両まぶたに置かれた銅貨をひったくる。7年後の1843年、クリスマス・イヴ。金貸業を営むスクルージの事務所には暖炉もなく、事務員のクラチット（ゲイリー・オールドマン）は凍えながら働いている。スクルージの甥フレッド（コリン・ファース）がクリスマスの挨拶に来ると、スクルージは怒鳴り散らす。また、貧しい人への寄付を乞われると、「余分な人口が減った方がマシだ」と毒づく。夜、スクルージが家に帰ると、マーレイの幽霊が現れ、3人の亡霊がスクルージを訪ねてくると告げる。

Nice adaptation of the classic story we all have read. 3D animations are cool and make of this movie a more enjoyable experience. Get ready to go over the lessons that this tale tries to teach, through the story of Scrooge

The sad and then heartwarming story of Scrooge is retold rather faithfully in this animated rendition. Jim Carrey's voiceover is talented, as expected, and the movie really does put you in the Christmas spirit. Because the story is retold so closely to the original story, it is not very original, but it still feels fresh and entertaining.
