オーエンズ牧師率いる極右政権NFFAが支配するアメリカ。政府は犯罪抑制の最終手段として、新たな法律“パージ”を施行。これは、1年のうち12時間だけ、政府や警察が活動を停止し、殺人を含めたあらゆる犯罪が合法化されるというものだった。その結果、全米の犯罪率が1%未満にまで低下するという目覚ましい成果を挙げ、政府はパージこそがアメリカを偉大にしていると容認していた。だが、パージは貧困層や弱者を排除しようとしていると訴える無所属のローン上院議員（エリザベス・ミッチェル）らの台頭により、今や国内は賛成派と反対派に分断され、その是非を問う大統領選が進行中。両陣営が激しく争う中、世界の運命を左右する新たな12時間が幕を開ける。

The Purge series is actually pretty interesting to see how people can change so easily even those that you trust. It can be a bit terrifying if this were to actually happen to our government. Love this movie and the theme as well. This one isn't as good as the first but still entertaining.

The Purge series has always intrigued me with its creative plot of how society would react to a lawless government. I've heard mixed reviews from people that either hated it or loved it, so I'm not too sure what to expect from this movie. I've never gotten the chance to see these movies while they were in theaters, so I hope I'm able to see them soon.

I have not watched any “The Purge” Films because I don’t really agree with the concept. I’m open to forgetting my disagreement with the concept and give it a shot because I’m open to any new horror/thriller films.
