元凄腕ハッカーの救世主ネオ（キアヌ・リーヴス）は、マシン軍団に包囲された人類最後の都市ザイオンを救うべく、超人力を全開させる。反乱軍のリーダーであるモーフィアス（ローレンス・フィッシュバーン）は、救世主が戦いに決着をつけてくれることを疑わなかったが、ネオには葛藤があった。まもなくネオとトリニティー（キャリー＝アン・モス）とモーフィアスは、再びマトリックスへ乗り込む。敵の大軍との総力戦を開始。やがて、人工知能＝Ａ.Ｉ.の命令に逆らい宿敵ネオを倒すことに執着するエージェント・スミス（ヒューゴ・ウィーヴィング）が、自分をコピーする方法を身につけて、しつこく襲いかかる。やがてネオは、マトリックスの設計者（ヘルムート・バカイティス）と対面。救世主である自分までもがシステムに操られていることを知る。それでも彼は仲間たちと共に、ザイオンを救うため、戦いを続けるのだった。

Where the first Matrix movie succeeded, this movie failed. I’m not sure how you can go from such a great movie to such a mediocre one. It’s just so unnecessarily long. There is a fight scene that goes on for at least ten minutes, and it’s not even interesting! Not to mention most of Neo’s powers established in the first film are completely forgotten or ignored. I couldn’t watch this film in one sitting, I needed a break for this slow pace and boring scenes. I don’t know what this movie was trying to accomplish, but it completely failed.

It is just sad good as the first as the questions we asked before get deeper. The main character begins to show grace importance for the sake of everyone as he fights through the matrix and uncovers truths that lead to more questions. Everyone gets stronger, even the opposition, revving up the fight to something you don’t want to miss
