アンディ（ジョン・モリス）はキャンプに行き、棚に置き去りにされたカウボーイ人形のウッディ（声＝トム・ハンクス）はひょんなことでおもちゃ屋のアルにさらわれてしまう。彼は実は大変なプレミア人形で、カウガールのジェシーや炭坑夫プロスペクターから一緒におもちゃ博物館行きだと告げられる。一方、ウッディの友人であるバズ・ライトイヤー（声＝ティム・アレン）たちはウッディを助けにアルのビルに忍び 込む。博物館行きに心が動いていたウッディを、バズは「おもちゃは子どもに遊ばれるためにある」と説得。はアンディの元に帰る決意をするウッディだが、博物館行きを願うプロスペクターが脱出を妨害。危機一髪、飛行場で助け出されたウッディはジェシーとともに無事アンディの部屋に戻ってくるのだった。

Toy Story 2 is as entertaining as the prequel. This great movie will show how valuable it is friendship. Woody will follow a journey that will take him to meet more people like him and to find value in those who are different from him. Also, quite an interesting perspective of portraying the relationship between toys and humans (from the point of view of toys, of course).
