近未来の日本。犬インフルエンザが大流行するメガ崎市では、人間への感染を恐れた小林市長が、すべての犬を“犬ヶ島”に追放する。そしてある時、12歳の少年がたった1人で小型飛行機に乗り込み、その島に降り立つ。その少年とは、孤児から市長の養子になったアタリ。親友でもある愛犬スポッツを救いにやって来たのだ。島で出会った勇敢で心優しい5匹の犬たちを新たな相棒に、スポッツの探索を開始したアタリは、やがてメガ崎の未来を左右する大人たちの陰謀に迫ってゆく……。

Isle of Dogs is another typical Wes Anderson film and it does not disappoint. The stunning stop-motion animated film features a creative and fun storyline that keeps you watching until the end. The main character speaks only Japanese with absolutely no subtitles, which I believe adds to the creativity of the film. I highly recommend it to anyone of any age!
