パッセンジャー(2016)

This movie was one of the biggest let downs of 2016 for me. It has two of my favourite actors in it and the plot seemed really interesting. But it wasn't. And honestly Pratt's character is the most dislikable person in the whole universe. Nothing he does is redeemable. I don't know if we are supposed to like him and root for him, but there's no way I could. He doesn't deserve the ending he got.

Futuristic and romantic, this movie takes place in a spaceship. The storyline is thrilling and the level of attention to detail is outstanding. It may be a far-from-reality situation, yet you will feel just like one of the passengers

The idea of this movie is fantastic. From the outside the esthetics seem promising as well with two very strong actors who the entire movie relies on. The issue with this movie is clearly not the acting, but rather the way the story is told. One of the climax’s of the movie feels empty and unexciting due to us being told everything we needed to know to expect it coming. The ending of the movie also leaves you wanting just a little more. It’s on the edge of being a truly good movie but a lack of creative story telling tethers the entire suspense down leaving this mediocre movie and waste of two great actors in a forgetful film.

I was surprised by how good this movie was. I didn’t expect it to turn out how it did. I only watched it because I love Jennifer Lawrence but I ended but being a really good sci-fi. The storyline developed so well with just having 2 characters for the entirety. The made a great live story out of it as well. All around good job 👏🏽

This stuff is fine theatre, technically or any other way, and along with them the film is exciting for the recklessness of its independence, even if it seems to have little to be free for.
