You know what I'm going to be the lone dissenting voice and say Home Alone isn't a very good movie. Yes, I know everyone just loves this movie, but I feel like people say that because they're supposed to. Macaulay Culkin is insufferable and annoying. This is the first film I ever saw and rooted for the bad guys - that's how much I disliked it. Bah humbug.

This is just one of the best, most classic children's movie out there. What kid doesn't want to be Kevin McCallister? He is the coolest kid out there. Not only does he get the house to himself, but he protects it from criminals. But what is so great about this film is the heart and the emphasis on family. Just a classic.

This is a christmas classic, but to be honest, it makes for entertaining watching throughout the year. It follows the story of a young boy who is never listened to by the rest of his large family, being the youngest of them all. He then wishes for everyone to be gone so that he can just have fun by himself with no one else bothering/bulling him. He then gets his wish, as his mother forgets to wake him up to go to the airport. So, they are then stranded and unable to get back to Kevin, meanwhile he's having the time of his life. He soon starts to become lonely and some opportunistic thief's are in the neighbourhood to try and steal from homes who's family's are away for the holidays. This little 8 year old must then defend his house using very clever means.
