NYに住むデイヴ(アーロン・ジョンソン)は、コミックオタクでスーパーヒーローに憧れる平凡な高校生。ある日、インターネットで買った自前のスーツとマスクを身に付け、自分もDIYヒーローとして街で活動を開始する。何の特殊能力も武器も持たない彼は、初出動であっさり犯罪者にやられてしまうが、懲りずにパトロールを再開。その時の活動の動画が見物人によって撮られ、やがて“キック・アス（Kick-Ass）”の名で街中に知られるようになる。だが、街のパトロールをしていたのは彼だけではなかった。キック・アスは高度な訓練を受けた父娘デュオ、“ヒット・ガール”（クロエ・グレース・モレッツ）と“ビッグ・ダディ”（ニコラス・ケイジ）に出会い、街の犯罪帝国を仕切るフランク・ダミコを倒すため共に戦うことを決意する……。

Kick-Ass is one of the most (shockingly) badass movies I've ever watched. A modern and realistic take on superheroes, this movie features an 11-year-old vigilante which is so incredible to watch. This movie isn't your typical Marvel/superhero movie and I definitely recommend it to those who love action and superhero movies.

An exciting and off the walls take on a more realistic super hero story. If you don't mind violence then I'd recommend this film for sure. It start off with a comic book lover just dealing with his high school life. It isn't until he gets the desire to be like a hero he reads about does his journey begin becoming Kick Ass. I love the very relatable desire he has to be a hero and the realistic path he takes to fulfill that dream. It's no Marvel movie but it's great.

This movie has a very empowering story. Its message is that anyone can be a superhero if they put their mind to it. And its the people that are unexpected to be a hero that are most capable of becoming a hero.
