Being "The Percy Jackson and Lightning Thief" my favorite book saga, I can't ignore my opinion about this movie. you'll find it if you're looking for action and entertainment BUT if you're looking for a story attached to the one in the books... don't expect that my friend. The movie does not disappoint as it will give you emotion, funny moments mixed with a bit of innocent love and a touch of fury towards the glorious parents (gods). If you come for the books don't expect the best BUT you certainly won't be disappointed.

This film follows the Percy Jackson books, which I actually really enjoyed reading when I was younger and the film follows quite closely what I imagined the story to be like in the book. Percy is raised by a single mum in the US, and has trouble reading, thinking it's dsylexia. However, Percy then discovers that he's a demi-god and is the son of Poseidon. He then has to travel to a camp to develop his skills along with the other demi-gods, who have all grown up knowing what they are, so he feels like an outsider. However he quickly finds allies and is needed when Zeus's lightning is stolen and him and his friends have to use the skills that they've learnt in class in order to help.

One of my favorite movies. This shows a typical human is suddenly thrown into a mystical world of supernaturals of god and goddess. Percy Jackson soon find out his father is one of the most powerful god.

My brothers have read the popular young adult Percy Jackson novels, but I have not. They have also seen the film, and if I remember right, I believe they enjoyed it. I don't mind young adult action films and so i added this to my watchlist. The fact that it's a popular series my expectations are somewhat high, but we will see.

This is a great movie that is about the greek gods of Olympus and their descendants, the demi-gods. I have read the book series and I was impressed by the movie. I enjoyed this movie very much with the interesting plot and adventure.

As an avid fan of the book series, I had high expectations for the movie and sadly those expectations weren’t met. The film can still be enjoyable if you are a fan of the series but it is a good idea to have your expectations lowered so that you can enjoy it more.
