초반엔 재밌는데 후반으로 갈수록 지루함

I entered the theater with meager expectations but found that I was pleasantly surprised by this film. Although it wasn’t the greatest film I’ve watched in a long time, it kept me wondering where the story was going to go. I am most likely going to rent or purchase the other two in this serious as I am now thoroughly intrigued by the exploits of the warrens. This particular film had quite a few points of interest for me, specifically as I grew up in New England and was born in December 1981. The sleepy town aesthetic, which permeated much of the scene dressing, added to the horror element presented. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of the classic American small town and its peaceful nature with the corruption and chaos present in demonic possession.

Well written and well shot, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is a decent horror drama with its moments of brilliance. Great performance by the cast and some genuine new scares. My only gripe would be that no one said "The Devil Made Me Do It" in the movie.
