ペパーミント・キャンディー

I decided to rewatch this movie tonight after a long time. It was even more crushing than I remembered, honestly devastating. During several scenes, I could barely hold the tears welling up in my eyes (but I did). To put it into perspective though, this movie doesn't hit nearly as hard on the first watch. Because it's only when you reach the end that the full weight falls on you like a grand piano. Through this rewatch, I also caught so many details I hadn't noticed the first and second time. I think this movie might be the closest one to perfection yet. How many movies even have a perfect opening and ending like this one does? This just can't be replicated.
