両親が離婚したため、夏を父親の住む街で過ごすことになった17歳の高校生ベン（ジョン＝ポール・ハワード）。ある日、ベンは隣の家に住むディロンという少年と知り合うが、彼はなぜか母親に怯えており、次第にベンもその母親の様子がおかしいことに気付き始める。やがて、ディロンの母親が魔物に身体を乗っ取られていることを知ったベンは、姿を消してしまったディロンを探すのだが……。

They accomplished everything that they set out to do with this movie; and more! This is one creepy ass movie! The way that the movie is shot, along with the impressive but subtle visual effects, created an eerie sense that something was not right while watching. And with numerous run-ins with the so-called "witch" that amped up the volume and said visual effects, this was a frightening movie to watch from start to finish. But that's the point! Definitely re-watchable for years to come. A new horror classic.
