地球外生命体（エイリアン）が地球を侵略してから9年後の2027年、シカゴ。アメリカ政府は制圧され、統治者と呼ばれるエイリアンの管理下に。犯罪の事前抑止という名目で全市民は身体にGPSが埋め込まれ、死ぬまで監視。ルールを犯せば、地球外へ追放される。貧富の差はこれまでにないほど拡大し、街は荒廃していた。自由を取り戻すべく密かに結成されたレジスタンス・グループは、統治者と呼ばれるエイリアンによる団結集会にて爆弾テロを起こそうと企てるが……。

Captive State was an excellent we executed political thriller but unfortunately it was sold as a sci-fi title. For what this film was, I believe that the acting, set design, and narrative development was executed well and the twists and turns of the movie were presented equally as well. This movie does not have the makings of a classic but it is definitely worth watching.
