小さな町スワロー・フォールズでは、サーディンの缶詰工場が閉鎖されて以来、人々は在庫の山となった缶詰ばかりを食べている。そこに暮らす発明家志望のフリント・ロック（声：ビル・ヘイダー）は人づきあいが苦手で、スプレー・シューズやサル語翻訳機など風変わりな装置を発明しては、町の人々に迷惑をかけていた。それでもフリントは、町の人々を幸せにするものを発明すると思い込んでいる。ある日フリントは、水を食べ物に変える食べ物マシーンを発明する。

I remember seeing this movie in the cinema and honestly it was one of my best cinema experiences! This film is so amazing great and filled with puns! (Like all the puns). There are so many memorable lines (“Strawberry’s my favourite”) and it’s just a very interesting plot. It’s so crazy that they took a children’s book and really made it their own. Also be on the look out for a HILARIOUS London joke in the end credits that had me and my friend dying in our seats.
