サンフランシスコ。正体不明の麻薬取引の黒幕アイスマンを執念ぶかく追い続ける刑事ジャック・ケイツ（ニック・ノルティ）はレース場で怪しい2人組に発砲され、応戦するも片割れの黒人に逃げられてしまう。黒人はどうやらアイスマンの連絡係らしかった。ジャックは現場に残された写真から事件の鍵を握るのはレジー・ハモンド（エディ・マーフィ）と判断、刑務所を訪ね協力を求めるが、かつてジャックの捜査に協力して痛い目にあったレジーは預けたはずの金を返せと言うばかりでにべもない。しかし出所の日、彼をアイスマンの差し向けたバイク集団が襲ったことから、ようやくレジーも捜査に協力することを決意する。

This is an absurd sequel to the original 48 Hrs. movie. Eddie Murphy, who is supposed to be a comedian, feels restricted in this movie- it's just not funny. It just feels like no one put much effort into the movie. It does have more action than the original though.. That's the only thing going for it.

I understand that with this duo of actors, they wanted to make a sequel. I wish they didn't, it totally ruins the franchise.
