ロビン・フッド

This is a really good retelling of the Robin Hood story. It takes the story and characters to a very dark and gritty place. There were many points where I felt really uncomfortable because of just how dark it got. It's dirty and full of gore and sometimes it was too much for me, but it probably wouldn't be too much for everyone. Also Alan Rickman does a great job at playing the antagonist to Robin Hood. The characters are fleshed out and given new aspects that make the story fresh. Overall a really good film.

I saw this movie a long time ago and remember being less than impressed. The classic story retold here lacked much of the relatable characterization of the original(?) animated adaptation. It was a lot of fighting scenes that seemed to take away from what the story is really about. Maybe if I saw it again I would notice something else, but I don't think I'm going to do that.

I have fond memories of watching Robin Hood as a child. The movie isn't a masterpiece on any level, but it is highly entertaining and is a great action movie. The action is well-staged and had audiences on the edge of their seats. I definitely recommend to those who haven't seen it.

I grew up watching the Disney cartoon of the Robin Hood story, the story of a great archer who steals from the rich and gives it to the poor. To bring this story to life seems like it can be very entertaining. Looking at who else reviewed this film on WATCHA seems to praise it; I would love to see this remake.
