3人の子供を連れて新居に引っ越してきたルネ（ローズ・バーン）と夫のジョシュ（パトリック・ウィルソン）。ところが、引っ越して間もなく、おかしな現象が起こり始める。屋根裏から聞こえる不審な音、いつの間にか物の配置が変わる、赤ちゃん用のモニターから聞こえる謎の声。そんな時、小学生の息子ダルトン（タイ・シンプキンス）が梯子から落ちて昏睡状態に陥ってしまう。一家はすぐにこの家から引っ越すが、既に目に見えない“何か”がジョシュたち家族を狙っていた……。ダルトンの昏睡状態は原因不明で、医者もお手上げ状態。霊媒師や牧師まで呼び出し、ルネとジョシュはあらゆる手を尽くしてみるが、状況は悪化の途を辿るばかり。だがその間にも“何か”は着実に彼ら一家に近づきつつあった……。

As a person who gets constant sleep paralysis, this was scary when I first watched it. I remember sitting in the theater and jumping at a bunch of parts throughout it. Good movie and I’m a big fan of anything horror related.

This movie is wayyyyyy to scary. I can’t even watch this film as an adult. I still get nightmares from the one time I watched it years ago and never intend on attempting it again. My eyes were closed half the time and I still feel like I saw way more than I wanted to. I guess technically this was the objective but it wasn’t the kid of movie I would like to see
