チャーリー・ヒントンは広告会社のやり手サラリーマン。親友のフィルと一緒に野菜嫌いの子供向けの野菜シリアル“べジー・オズ”の販売促進キャンペーンで忙しく、愛妻キムと息子ベンのことを顧みない生活が続いていた。ところが、心血注いだ“べジー・オズ”の試食会は大失敗。子供たちから総スカンを食らい、中には暴れまわる子供まで出てしまう。チャーリーは意地悪な同僚ブルースに馬鹿にされた挙句、上司からは自然食品部門の閉鎖を言い渡され、チャーリーとフィルは会社をくびにされてしまう。不況の世の中、再就職は難しく、家計の節約のために高額のエリート保育園から息子を退園させることに。しかしほかの保育園は怪しげなところばかりで、チャーリーは近所の主婦のなにげないひと言から、自宅で保育園を開くことを思いつく。

This movies has its funny moments but the plot wasn’t always there for me. Great to watch if you’re bored one night but don’t expect too much out of it! Eddie Murphy does always give me a good laugh though when it comes to his movies!

If you are looking for a quality comedy movie, I’m not sure this is the movie you are looking for. But for a night in, it does give some laughs here and there. The story line is not the greatest but is fun, nonetheless.

Sure, this is an entertaining and funny movie, but I would not say it's excellent because so much of the early plot line is about how men are not suited to take care of kids. Of course, that is not all there is to the movie, and if you want to watch something light and funny, this could be a good choice.
