レベッカ・ブルームウッド（アイラ・フィッシャー）は、一流ファッション誌の記者を夢見るNY在住の25歳。でも理想と現実はあまりに遠く、彼女が働くのは地味な園芸雑誌の編集部。どんなに期待外れの毎日でも、レベッカには魔法のストレス解消法があった。それは“お買いもの”であった。そもそも女性には買いものをする理由がいくらでもある。「恋をしたから」「ふられたから」「仕事が上手くいったから」「仕事がサイテーだったから」気がついたら、お買いものが止まらない。レベッカはかなり重症な“お買いもの中毒”だったのだ。こんな生活、普通のOLには長く続かない。ついにカードの限度額を超えてしまったレベッカは、生活を立て直すため転職活動を開始。狙いを定めたのは、憧れのファッション誌の編集部……のはずが、なぜか同じ出版社のお堅い経済誌に雇われることに。

A very relatable film for many of us who enjoy shopping! This comedic tale of how a woman's shopping addiction leads to her downfall. She has to pick herself back up after having nothing, and is constantly faced with tough decisions in the film. There's also a romantic element to the film, which is especially funny and relatable to everyday life. With her maid of honor duties that put a strain on her relationship with her best friend, she must decide what is more important, her friend or her dream career.

Super funny super relatable romantic comedy. The acting is good and the storyline is unique and funny! My favorite part is that it’s based in New York City. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
