I anticipate that the people who enjoy this movie the most are those who also really enjoyed the first "Ice Age" movie. I didn't feel super moved by either of them, but some of the characters (especially the squirrel) are actually endearing. I just wouldn't watch this if you're expecting something much different from the original movie.

I really love the Ice Age movies because there are so many characters and side stories. My favorite is the squirrel trying to get his acorn throughout all the films. Also, I love the strength of the differing personalities- the characters are very well developed.

The second in the Ice Age franchise is slightly worse than the first one, but still a good film to watch. The premise of the film follows the trio of Sid the sloth, Manny the mammoth and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger when they discover that the valley that they're living in is about to become flooded since the ice is now melting. A passing vulture tells them they have to get to a boat at the other end of the valley and save the animals from the flood. It is a similar story to Noah's Ark, but contains much more humour and friendship along the way.
