1969年、ワシントン州シアトル。テッド・バンディ（ザック・エフロン）とシングルマザーのリズ（リリー・コリンズ）は、あるバーで恋に落ちる。デッド、リズと彼女の幼い娘モリーの3人は幸福を絵に描いたような家庭生活を築いていくのだった……。そんなある日、車を運転中のテッドは信号無視で警官に止められ、車の後部座席に積んでいた道具袋を疑われて逮捕されてしまう。それは、マレーで起きた誘拐未遂事件の容疑であった。その前年にも女性誘拐事件が発生しており、キング郡警察の発表によると、目撃された犯人らしき男の車はテッドの愛車と同じフォルクスワーゲン。新聞に公表された似顔絵は、テッドの顔によく似ていた。突然の事態に混乱するリズ。一方、テッドはすべてまったくの誤解だと説明するが、次第にいくつもの事件の真相が明らかになっていく……。

Ted Bundy is absolutely fascinating to me. I just cannot comprehend how someone could be that psychotic and not even bat an eye at their actions. After watching the Ted Bundy tapes on TV and hearing there would be a movie, I was pretty excited to see it more realistically. The actors were great. Netflix chose well in picking who would portray the characters. I have to give them creds for that. Other than that, it was drug out WAY too long. It was slow. It was boring. It was pretty graphic, which doesn’t shock me for a Netflix original, but it was pretty showy. Just not impressed with the way they chose to tell this story.
