ニューヨーク。父の跡を継いで悪名高いマフィアのボス、ポール・ヴィッティ（ロバート・デ・ニーロ）は、敵対するプリモ・シンドーネ（チャズ・パルミンテリ）との抗争を控えて奇妙な発作に悩まされるようになった。ポールは腹心のジェリー（ジョー・ヴィテレリ）の紹介で精神科医ベン・ソボル（ビリー・クリスタル）の元に押しかけるが、これがベンにとっては悪夢の始まりに。ポールは時間も場所もお構いなしにベンを呼び出し、あげくはマイアミで行われた再婚相手のＴＶレポーターのローラ（リサ・クードロー）との結婚式もメチャクチャにされてしまう。

"Analyze This" is funny, but certainly not excellent. This movie may be best for light laughs, but I really doubt it would be a memorable movie for most people. The whole movie kind of feels like an ongoing joke, but one without much substance.

Though I like the actors in "Analyze This", the film is hardly an original one. Though sometimes lacking originality doesn't nectar illy mean it was bad, this one was pretty much that. It had some funny moments here and there, but not enough to save it.
