遥か遠い昔、予言と神々の時代。精霊が幅を利かせ、巨大なマンモスが大地を揺るがしていた。山奥で狩りをして暮らすヤガル族の村。若いハンター、デレー（スティーブン・ストレイト）は、村のリーダーだった父親が食料を探す旅に出たまま戻らなかったことから、“卑怯者の息子”として孤立していた。また彼は、幼い頃に“四本足の悪魔”と呼ばれる騎馬民族に襲われて村に逃げてきた、美しい少女エバレット（カミーラ・ベル）とは将来を誓い合う仲でもあった。あるとき、正体不明の男たちが村を襲い、大勢の人々をさらって行く。その中にはエバレットの姿もあった。デレーは彼女や連れ去られた人々を救うため、父の旧友だったティクティク（クリフ・カーティス）ら3人の仲間とともに追跡の旅に出る。

There is a reason that there are so few films set in the prehistoric times. This movie was horribly boring, perhaps because no one knows what happened in these times, which was evident in the lack of actually interesting scenes throughout the movie.

Although probably not historically accurate, I found this movie to be entertaining. I followed closely the journey for the salvation of the tribe.

Think about this film and it quickly falls apart. The geographical landscape makes no sense, there are historical inaccuracies etc. but at the end of the day, it can be enjoyed for its simple story and decent effects. Not great, but if you can turn off your brain it will do the job.
