ダルトン・ラッセル（クライブ・オーウェン）をリーダーとする4人の銀行強盗が、マンハッタン信託銀行を占拠した。通報を受け、NY市警のフレイジャー（デンゼル・ワシントン）とミッチェルは現場に急行する。フレイジャーは以前関った麻薬事件で14万ドルの小切手が紛失するという事態に巻き込まれ、内務調査課から汚職の疑いをかけられていた。それだけに、今回の事件は汚名返上のチャンスだったのだ。また、銀行の取締役会長アーサー・ケイスの命を受けて、ニューヨークでも指折りの弁護士マデリーン・ホワイト（ジョディ・フォスター）も呼び出される。銀行内では、ダルトンたちは人質全員にジャンプスーツと覆面を着用させ、自分たちと同じ格好をさせていた。これでは誰が人質で誰が犯人なのか、区別できない状態となる。

With huge names in Hollywood such as Denzel Washingston, Jodie Foster and Clive Owen, this crime mystery thriller was executed pretty well by the actors and actress. In the director Spike Lee's work, "Inside Man" is a show full of tension and shrewd audacious; definitely becoming one of his most accessible and popular movies. "Inside Man" would probably best best described in the genre that is art film-meets-heist.

I just recently re-watched this film and to my dismay, it wasn’t that great. It had all the pieces for a great movie but I realized that it relied too heavily on its last 15 minutes which had its big reveals. Other than that we aren’t as much engaged and the earlier moments don’t have much importance to the final ones, unfortunately.

A very thrilling, very well executed heist film. It is well acted, has good twists and turns, and is always tense. There is not that much more to add really, just very well put together.
