This is a very informative and dark story about the dangers of the drug trade. The story is well filmed and each character is given a lot of detail and backstory that the audience can’t help but get immersed into the story.

Traffic, with its harsh look at drug use in America today, can be uncomfortable at times to watch. It certainly can't be termed a "happy" or a "feel-good" film. That doesn't change the fact that it is an amazing, thought-provoking, powerful film, and without a doubt the best film released in the year 2000. I can't recommend this film enough.

The United States has had a known problem with drugs getting smuggled into it. I find it interesting that someone would take on a film about this consistent problem. I also found it intriguing that the film consists of multiple perspectives. Though I have not seen this film, I'm expecting the perspectives will be of both the ones trying to stop the drug smuggling and the ones trying to smuggle. This seems to be an interesting plot and will try to watch it someday.
