ランドール・ミンディ博士(レオナルド・ディカプリオ)は、落ちこぼれ気味の天文学者。ある日、教え子の大学院生ケイト(ジェニファー・ローレンス)と地球衝突の恐れがある巨大彗星を発見。二人は世界中の人々に迫りくる危機を知らせるべく奔走することに。大統領(メリル・ストリープ)と、彼女の息子で補佐官のジェイソン(ジョナ・ヒル)と対面したり、陽気な司会者ブリー(ケイト・ブランシェット)のテレビ番組で、訴えかけたりするが相手にしてもらえない。果たして2人は彗星衝突の危機から地球を救うことが出来るのか。

I laughed, I was mad, I got bored, I was confused, what a mix of emotions, just like its editing 😂 In a way I get why they cut up the film like that, but I feel I’m not emotionally with the characters when they cut so much. But I guess the film is supposed to be a hotchpotch of our world today.
