ロス市在住の中国領事の娘が誘拐された。領事が香港からスペシャリストを呼び寄せたため、部外者に口出ししてほしくないＦＢＩは、地元ロス市警察（ＬＡＰＤ）のカーター刑事（クリス・タッカー）に捜査協力を依頼。カーターはＬＡＰＤきってのトラブルメーカーで、上司たちの頭痛の種だった。カーターはＦＢＩ捜査官になれるチャンスと意気込むが、彼に与えられた仕事は香港から来る捜査官の“お守り”をし、捜査に介入させないようにすることだった。そのリー捜査官（ジャッキー・チェン）は無口な男で、カーターは彼を出し抜いて事件を解決しようとする。だが、リーは外見からは想像もつかない武術の達人で、誘拐された少女が彼の弟子で友達だったこともあり、救出に執念を燃やす。彼はカーターの魂胆を見抜き、捜査に加わる。

This movie is a hilarious action comedy starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. As weird as this pair may seem, they have great on screen chemistry during their fight scenes and dialogue scenes. The movie mainly focuses on their comedic sense so if you’re looking for a laugh, I would recommend this movie.
