Boyhood is a ground-breaking and astounding movie that everyone needs to watch at least once in their lifetime. The film is filmed over the course of 12 years with the same cast throughout entirely. The film follows a young boy Mason as the viewer literally watches him grow up before your eyes. The audience watches as Mason goes through the troubles that life throws at you. We watch him go from ages 6 to 18 while experiencing life with divorced parents and even watch him fall in love. Although not an action-packed and terribly exciting film, the movie's main purpose is to focus entirely on growing up, and it does just that. The movie makes you think about how all of us are really the same; we all experience the same troubles and victories but at different periods in our lives and at difference places. The movie flows effortless from scene to scene as we experience 18 years of a boy's life in a mere 2 hours and 45 minutes; the film almost feels like breathing and is like a breath of fresh air after you finish watching it. If you're into coming-of-age films with a beautiful cast and filming style, then this cinematic masterpiece is a great choice.

Açıkçası çok met ettiler özellikle internette okuduğum yorum ve puanlamalarda bunu gördüm fakat ne yazık ki pek içime sinen ve ilgimi çeken bir yapıt değildi. Aslında senaryonun ana teması da iyi küçüklükten büyüyünceye kadar hayat hikayesi ama izlerken çok sıkıldım. Pek şaşırmayacağınız ve bir sonra ki sahne için öngörülenleri izleyeceğiniz bir film.

Nicole: You know how everyone's always saying seize the moment? I don't know, I'm kinda thinking it's the other way around. You know, like the moment seizes us. Mason: Yeah. Yeah, I know. It's constant, the moment. It's just. It's like it's always right now, you know? Nicole: Yeah.
