The Green Knight enthralls your senses like no other Arthurian tale. Gorgeously shot sequences of reality dissolving into the surreal are rife with a semiotic texture that renders the characters almost monolithic. However, Patel and Vikander dominate when needed and deliver. Wanted to love it more, but couldn't for something I can't put my hand on.

Falls flat for story and characters. The music, costuming and cinematography were all beautiful. But I had a difficult time caring at all about the characters and story, and found most times in the film dozing off. Just a boring and weird film. Would not recommend.

This was a classic tale of self-discovery and a quest for honor. The story was a true journey of mind, body, and soul, with our hero learning his way across the stage. This film was stunning in its execution. A true masterpiece of classic literature turned movie that Annie student of Arthurian myth, should watch. It may be a touch too hard to follow for those who subsist solely on modern works of fiction, as much of it could be hard to follow. How the writing and scene direction was composed fed beautifully off of the poetry in the original work. In this journey of self-discovery, many of the primal emotions of man are discussed. Fear, lust, greed, and, of course, honor are all featured heavily in this work.
