뉴욕에서 괴짜 교수로 명성을 날리는 피터 밴크맨, 레이몬드 스탠드, 에곤 스펜글러, 루이스 4인조는 뉴욕에 출몰하는 유령들을 잡기위해 '귀신잡는 대행회사'를 설립하여, 가지각색의 귀신을 잡아들이기 시작한다. 하지만 뉴욕의 다나의 집에 나타나 거대한 빌딩 옥상에 버티고 있는 유령들의 총두목격인 '카쟈'를 잡아 들이기에는 아무래도 역부족인 듯한데...

What can I say about this movie that has not already been said? It’s hilarious. No seriously, laugh till you die hilarious. You will be quoting this movie for years. Who knew a movie about ghosts could be so gosh darn funny? But I guess when you have the amazing cast this movie does you can’t really go wrong. This is the 80s at its finest.
