미녀와 야수

I feel like many people look down on Beauty and Beast because of the apparent Stockholm syndrome. However, I believe those people miss the clear message of this film: Looks don’t matter. You fall in love with the person, not what they look like. Also Belle might be consider “Beauty”, but it is her brains that the movie focuses on while showing the purely beautiful people as lacking. I support any movie that encourages young girls to read and follow adventure.

This film seeks to comment and show young people as they age and mature that 1) things are never what they seem 2) don’t judge a book by its cover 3) beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It teaches us to spend a little extra time on things and people that may seem different or scary because we never know what we can learn or what can develop from it

A classic Disney film that will have you singing to yourself! Watch the French version too if you know French - the songs sound even better. This is one of my favorite Disney movies and it doesn’t get old to watch it again every once in a while.
