Backdraft is a great movie with a lot of entertaining moments. The movie itself is a tad bit overdone, story wise, but the effects are absolutely astonishing. And the acting, by mostly everyone is fabulous. I would recommend this to anyone that likes thrilling dramas.

"Backdraft" is not particularly deep in its plot and the acting is just ok, but the visuals (special effects) are really impressive, especially given that the movie was made in the nineties. I definitely have more respect for firefighters after seeing this movie.

It's by no means a perfect film, but it's an action movie with a heart and a mind, built to do much more than just make you feel as if you've endured a visual pummeling.
