Has similarities to Atlantis. Except None of the characters have any meaningful impact. Political Social narratives are slapped on character’s identity in a hope to make them more rememberable and failed miserably. There could of been two characters that were interesting but unfortunately they did not take the full potential of the Grandfather Clade so that only leaves “Splat” as the most interesting. Splat actually even had some great character development throughout the movie, funny how he doesn’t even say one word except for mumbles and I felt more connected to Splat then any of the other characters. TLDR; Movie is cute and fun to watch with family or SO, don’t expect a deep and compelling connection with characters or good story telling due to obnoxious injections of political social narratives, Splat is the real G in this movie.

This movie is a fun for the family adventure which reflects the world back at the viewer. It is a entertaining watch even though it requires little effort.
