This movie is probably the best version and adaptation of the Superman series. This movie stays relatively true to the comics and the action is great. Of course the effects aren't the best, but I think that's what gives this movie its own touch.

This film brought one of DC's most infamous characters from the pages of comics to the magic of cinema in the superhero action-packed "Superman." I must admit, I prefer Marvel superheroes over DC as I have found the DC film series to feel slower at the beginning of the plot. I much rather dive right on into the story. Putting this aside, there was nothing awful about "Superman." In fact, it met superhero cliches and somehow, it worked to serve as a guilty pleasure. The stunts are impeccable. The style is astonishing. A great movie for any fan of the popular Superman.

Even if superhero movies are not your genre of choice (and I fit into that category), seeing this classic film once is definitely worth your time. The acting is superb; the actors seems to fit their characters precisely. And, as we know, the resulting story has been highly influential.
